From the year 2000, the World Social Forum or WSF has served as a medium for tackling and webbing among activist, reformist, non-governmental groups and organization, and social movements from around the globe.

The slogan "Another World Is Possible", puts the forums aims at fighting against poverty, war, environment and inequality.
