Animal Habitat in Los Llanos reduced for Food Security

A Special to GlobalPost by Rachel Jones says that that habitat of hundreds of species of birds and animals in Los Llanos is shrinking.

Furthermore, the authorities now plans to converts a small portion of the three nationalized eco-tourism ranches (Hato Pinero, Hato El Cedral and Hato El Frio) to be converted into farmlands for boosting food production and would reduce relying on imports.
