FARC, Cuba, and Venezuela: A Secret Military Alliance?

It's been a long-standing rumor already that the Cuban government has set up a deal with the Venezuelan government and FARC, the Colombian rebel group, to train the group's members in a secret military camp.

This piece of news was exposed by government critics and former participants of the program. The heads of both governments refused to give official statements. More detail about this news can be found here.

Better Connections of the Americas

Transportation minister of Columbia announced that a 2,000 km roadway costing $2.5 million tourist roadway through Darien Gap to link Panama with Venezuela will be constructed before 2012.

The transportation route will increase the number of visitor to Colombia making the travel time 6 hours by car from Panama.

The minister is dubbing it the "Great Route of the Americas," and he said that the route will become the real union with Central America and the North America.
