When I first came upon this website, I thought that it's another recipe book giving out its version of the Food for the Gods. Well I haven't eaten that yet--I might've but just didn't know it--but I know that it uses a lot of chocolate.Venezuela, as we all know, is a majorproducer of cacao beans, which are used to make chocolate. They were particularly famous for producing it during the 1700s. How much was its impact? Read this dissertation from the University of Connecticut to find out. There is food in garbage. In the Libertador district of Caracas, the urban poor exchange garbage they collected with sugar, rice, beans and canned sardines. I believe this is a project beneficial for everyone. The poor gets to eat (and earns it) while the district gets free from garbage thrown by IRRESPONSIBLE citizens. It also clears the sewages so that floods can be avoided during the rainy season. May we all learn from this project.
